Illumination of Gratitude

Aries/Libra Full Moon

Aries/Libra Full Moon

The cosmic week of April 10, 2009 begins under a full moon in Libra/Aries, which occurred on April 9, 2009.  This full moon is illuminating the cooperation that is needed to find balance in relationships regarding friends, lovers, and children.  The position of the Moon suggests that relating to others comes through connecting to ancient sources of truth and understanding.  Emotions during this full phase are apt to be a bit testy as Venus is still retrograding in Aries in a passive-aggressive manner.  The position of the Sun suggests it is time to make a decision about whether you want to continue to feed energy to situations that feel cold, hopeless, and lost in relationship to manifesting hopes, wishes, and dreams with friends.

There is also a yod* configuration with a boomerang effect through the dynamics of the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars.  An opportunity exists to expand the purpose of one’s hopes, wishes, and dreams if one is willing to adjust their thoughts and/or perceptions and take responsibility for their manifestation.  The boomerang effect comes through unconscious emotions acting as a catalyst to take actions that will impact career matters.

Here in Tennessee, the full moon illuminated the cooperation of people coming together to help one another in the light of disaster.  Numerous tornadoes ripped across the southern sky, leaving a path of destruction and, oddly enough, gratitude.  Gratitude for the life that was spared, though homes were not.  Gratitude for the rescue efforts that began as soon as it was safe, as neighbors helped neighbors pick up the pieces of debris that were left from the wreckage of the storm.  Gratitude for the quick response of the city workers to get their city back to normal as quickly as possible. Gratitude for the shelters that were set up in churches for the people who had lost their homes.  Gratitude for the observation that when everything seems to be lost, people come together and the true spirit of humanity is illuminated.
