Cosmic Insights – December 23, 2024 December 22, 2024

The celestial week of December 23, 2024, begins with the Sun rising in authoritative Capricorn illuminating an opportunity to evaluate the status of one’s current position as a CEO of personal reality through a quiet time of inner contemplation and outer observance. (1)

Saturn is the planetary CEO of Capricorn with the power to climb mountains of success with patience and the sure-footedness of a mountain goat to reach the top of the summit.  However, Saturn is currently riding the waves of oceanic Pisces with an opportunity to manifest dreams into reality with the vision of the artist guided by spiritual inspiration as an outer expression of real inner worth. While Saturn leaves the arduous work of mountain climbing to the Sun in Capricorn for now, it is also challenging Jupiter retrograde in Gemini and Mercury in Sagittarius to finish the work that must be done before leaving for the holidays.  Yet, Jupiter is the daily guide of Pisces, and while retrograde in Gemini does its best work in sharing thoughts with like-minded individuals, and seeks a partner in crime in Mercury in Sagittarius to connect the left and right sides of consciousness by having faith and a belief in one’s self, leading to knowledge and enlightenment.   Wait a minute, aren’t we supposed to complete the work that Saturn gave us instead of chatting about philosophical meanderings?  Oh yeah, that!

As the Moon in Libra is in a third-quarter lunar phase with the Sun in Capricorn, emotional feelings may become a catalyst to take responsible actions without knowing the outcome leading to expansive opportunities with Jupiter in Gemini and Venus in Aquarius!

On the early evening of December 24, the ghosts of Christmas pasts may pay a visit as Jupiter retrograde in Gemini stirs up old memories that collide with the present-day feelings of Saturn in Pisces.  While the challenge to dissociate from the past may dredge up deep emotional conflicts, the way through them is a genuine appreciation for the positive memories of the past and a determined resolve to create new ones!

In another sense, it is also an opportunity to take responsible actions to integrate conscious messages of what was learned that lead to emotional healing.

In the wee hours of December 25, the Moon slips into the subconscious realms of mysterious Scorpio stirring up deep feelings relative to years gone by.  As the Moon slithers into Scorpio it initially encounters Pluto in Aquarius in a third-quarter phase suggesting an opportunity to transform emotional challenges from the past with the power of detachment to learn from the past, live for the present, and anticipate the future!

During breakfast, the Moon in Scorpio challenges Mars retrograde in Leo to release the need for attention with dramatic behaviors with a gift of unconditional love for oneself that alleviates the need for attention from others.  Shortly after, spirits are lifted by the undeniable magic of Christmas, as presents are exchanged, savory smells fill the air, and gratitude is felt for the quality of time spent with family and friends.

In the early evening of December 26, Mercury in Sagittarius opposes Jupiter retrograde in Gemini, and both are ready for a dose of good cheer after Saturn in Pisces is done with them for playing instead of working!  Travel plans may also be delayed by inclement weather and impact after-Christmas sales!  As both planets assist one another while they trade characteristics of their astrological signs, all ends well with patience, optimism, and a sense of humor!

A few hours later, a balsamic lunar phase occurs between the Sun in Capricorn and the Moon in Scorpio to take responsible actions to release negative emotions and limiting decisions in preparation for the new year coming in on the heels of a new moon cycle in Capricorn on December 30, 2024.

Fortunately, the lunar climate shifts with great expectations on the afternoon of December 27, as the Moon jumps into enthusiastic Sagittarius for new emotional adventures and an attitude to get this party started before the New Year arrives!
