The celestial week of May 11, 2026, begins with the sun rising in practical, down-to-earth Taurus, illuminating an opportunity to find the essential details of a situation and disregard the rest to stand up for oneself and values related to relationships and resources. Venus, the ruler of Taurus, echoes the message as it moves quickly through Gemini in a beneficial connection to Mercury in Taurus, sitting behind the scenes gathering information regarding finances, property values, and investments.

Venus in Gemini and Mercury in Taurus are mutually assisting one another to achieve financial stability as a foundation for the future growth of hopes, wishes, and dreams by living simply now. Meanwhile, the Moon has dipped into the ocean of Pisces to sail through emotional difficulties with intellectual skills to rise above the current situation before it challenges the mischievous and chatty nature of Venus in Gemini at the end of the day.

On the evening of May 12, the lunar landscape shifts from overwhelming emotional waves of Pisces as it enters the fiery realms of Aries, ready to emotionally kick-start creative impulses into high gear. The caveat is that those impulses may get out of hand quickly as it merges with Neptune in Aries several hours later, and the boundary lines become blurred with impetuous desires, which leaves Saturn in Aries to reign in emotional actions with restrictions. 

Mercury and the Sun unite in Taurus on May 14, in a powerful new cycle of ideas, intuitive insights, and a mental reset relative to the financial values of hopes, wishes, and dreams in a four-week window before the next Mercury retrograde cycle begins at the end of June. Venus, the CEO of Taurus, is positioned in Gemini, offering options to choose from, with the caveat to trim off non-essentials now to the bare reality to experience a greater quality of life and simplicity.

Later in the afternoon, the Moon and Mars in Aries could become a catalyst for discord in significant relationships as emotions fuel the actions of Mars regarding personal boundaries. 

Before the day ends, the Moon slips quietly into Taurus to emotionally release what is unnecessary to embrace the new opportunities inherent in the new moon cycle of the financial manifestation of values on May 16.

Thus, as the week unfolds, two cycles of energy operate simultaneously. The energy of the Sun and Mercury in Taurus, which is a slow-moving, quiet, and gentle energy, and then Neptune, Saturn, and Mars in Aries, which is let’s do it, let’s do it now, don’t want to wait around.

So, while there is this desire to move forward quickly, there’s also an instinct to remain grounded as you move forward. The key is to go with the emotional energy of the Moon. When the Moon is in Aries, go for it relative to hopes, wishes, and dreams, responsibilities, and actions! When the Moon is in Taurus, take a break and relax in the peaceful glow of a morning sunrise or evening sunset to stop and smell the roses!
