Cosmic Insights – December 30, 2024 December 29, 2024

The celestial week of December 30, 2024, begins with the Sun rising in earthy, responsible Capricorn, illuminating an opportunity to feed one’s higher nature with good nourishment to build a foundation of spiritual enlightenment.  Saturn, the CEO of Capricorn is floating upon the waters of spiritual Pisces to support the process with the higher self of consciousness training the lower self of the conscious ego.  

The highest vibration of Capricorn is to ascend the mountains of life leading to success with integrity and honor.  Whereas, the lower vibration of the ego demonstrated by Capricorn uses energy and others to climb the ladder of success without regard or recognition of those who support it.  

While Capricorn tends to use tried and tested methods of the past to achieve goals and aspirations; the natural inclination of Saturn in Pisces suggests letting go of unconscious, imposed restrictions learned through social and parental conditioning of what is required to succeed.  The caveat is that Saturn in Pisces is being challenged by Jupiter retrograde in Gemini with multiple ideas without a plan for execution and Mercury in Sagittarius with expansive, grandiose ideas that appear to have no means of financial investments that will encourage Saturn to get on board.

Thus, a quandary requires Virgo’s energy to make sense of, organize, and glean the gold from ideas if they are of any value or provide bigger opportunities.  However, Virgo’s energy is currently focused elsewhere, leaving Jupiter, Mercury, and Saturn to figure it out themselves!

Meanwhile, the Moon is also positioned in authoritative Capricorn in a balsamic lunar phase with the Sun, backing up the Sun’s position in Capricorn as the CEO in charge to take a step back from the material aspects of reality and release what isn’t working to a Higher Power for resolutions before the new moon cycle in Capricorn occurs later in the afternoon.

Once the new moon cycle in Capricorn occurs, a significant and serious energetic shift occurs relative to achieving the tangible goals of 2025 regarding financial security and career goals.  

Thus, the New Year’s Eve celebrations on December 31, may lack the usual enthusiasm of prior celebrations as a present somber tone permeates the energy of the future.

As the clock strikes midnight on January 1, 2025, the new year may begin on an optimistic note of uncertainty as Saturn in Pisces continues to deal with the challenges presented by Jupiter retrograde in Gemini to become conscious of what is being irresponsibly communicated through Mercury in Sagittarius, which can have the effect of starting a fire with misinformation and then spreading it without the evidence to support it.  

On a positive note, it is also a time to reconnect with nature to clear the mental cobwebs of the past with new intentions for the present with aligned thoughts, visions, and emotions.

Before the sun comes up, the Moon jolts into erratic Aquarius and emotional freedom becomes the dominant factor of shifting energy and plans to celebrate the New Year!  The Moon’s first planetary interactions are with Mars retrograde in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius simultaneously, which makes for an unusual dynamic that the Moon in Aquarius detaches from with an abrupt change of plans with friends!  

Inclement weather related to water and frigid temperatures may become a factor in unforeseen conditions relative to traffic and air travel!

One of the annual traditions of New Year’s Day involves making resolutions for the coming year that may not be completed, as the solar year of 2024 has not finished.  Even though the calendar has changed to a new year, the current solar phase is a third quarter which requires taking responsible actions to complete the manifestations of the intentions planted at the Spring Equinox of 2024.

Before the day ends on January 2, Venus joins Saturn and Neptune in Pisces to seek solace from recent and hectic celebrations with friends and family.  However, Venus in Pisces’ first planetary encounter is with Mars retrograde in Leo, so relationships may take center stage for attention about what isn’t working or to vent frustrations about the past couple of weeks.  

The caveat is that Venus in Pisces can be easily drained with expectations that it does not have the energy to handle or meet.  Therefore, self-care will be vital during the next few weeks to meet the demands of the new year without becoming exhausted. Pisces is considered to be spiritual, visionary, artistic, and imaginative so now is a great time to engage in spiritual retreats, musical pursuits, meditation, and hypnosis to consciously utilize unconscious resources that build onto the foundation of manifesting dreams into reality.

In the early hours of January 3, Mars retrograde in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius illuminating an opportunity to lay down the swords of battle over control issues relative to conditional and unconditional love to find a resolution of inner peace.  Mars retrograde in Leo doesn’t currently have the energy or desire to squabble over differences of opinion about the appropriate demonstration of love.  Meanwhile, Pluto in Aquarius demands the freedom to express and experience unconditional love with detachment.  Thus, the solution lies in mutual respect for another’s model of the world without judging it by its respective one, while taking actions that demonstrate love for oneself.

Later in the morning, the Moon joins Venus, Saturn, and Neptune in Pisces to prepare for a relaxing weekend to unwind and recharge emotional batteries to support the manifestation of hopes, wishes, and dreams!

Cosmic Insights – October 7, 2024 October 6, 2024

The celestial week of October 7, 2024, begins with the Sun rising in harmonious Libra illuminating an opportunity to establish a sense of balance through the realization that life is a cycle of cosmic rhythms with a systematic season of ebbs and flows.

In early cultures, the Sun was and is personified as a reliable form of energy that rose in the morning and went down in the evening. In those times, it brought order to chaos.  Even now, some believe that the Sun will rise and set every day, although they may not believe in anything else.  While it is a simplistic perception of reality, it is also a true demonstration of reliability.  

Venus is the queenly ruler of Libra and is symbolized by the scales of balance, mediation, cooperation, and fairness.  However, Venus is currently treading the emotional waters of Scorpio as it subconsciously turns over every rock to determine what is hidden and repressed to achieve that balance.  The caveat is that Scorpio’s energy is very powerful as it swirls beneath the surface of deep emotions with the ability to either transform or destroy what is revealed.  A key to transforming those emotional revelations lies in releasing them in a structured process as a dam releases water in a measured flow, instead of holding them in until the dam bursts.

Meanwhile, the Moon is moving through optimistic and expansive Sagittarius with an emotional opportunity to open one’s heart to a respectful commitment of love without losing one’s identity in the process.  Sagittarius is a bit of a gambler with the attitude you can’t win if you don’t play, along with the caveat, don’t bet on what you can’t afford to lose!  

In the early hours of October 9, Jupiter the King of Sagittarius is going retrograde in Gemini until February 4, 2025, with the caveat that expansive projects and plans relative to hopes, wishes, and dreams may need to be reviewed and reconsidered until then.  The signature of this planetary retrograde may be one of major miscommunications leading to misunderstandings due to erroneous information being disseminated without regard for factual evidence.  

In short, it may resemble a Mercury retrograde on steroids!  Thus, travel in all forms may be unreliable, communication devices can be affected with outages, and cable and internet connections may go up and down without notice, so time to go old school with a backup supply of stamps, pens, and pencils, paper, and morse code if you know it!

Shortly after, the Moon enters authoritative Capricorn with a serious emotional attitude regarding career goals, long-term commitments, and business matters.  Saturn, the CEO of Capricorn is still retrograde in Pisces so there may be a sense of overwhelm and a need to temporarily escape the responsibilities of feeling like you have to take care of everything at the same time, all the time.  

The co-rulers Pisces are of no assistance, as Jupiter is retrograde in Gemini and Neptune is retrograde in Pisces and they are all at cross purposes with one another anyway.  Thus, now is a good time to prioritize what is necessary and put the rest on the back burner until Saturn goes direct in November. 

The emotional climate shifts on October 11, as the Moon streaks into emotionally detached Aquarius with a “whatever” attitude relative to self-values, relationships, and resources!  Saturn in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus are the co-rulers of Aquarius and both are retrograde, so there is no one available to stop the ruckus that the Moon in Aquarius is capable of!    The key to avoiding the potential fall-out of consequences related to unpredictable emotional behavior is to be unavailable when someone suggests excitability, “Hey, I’ve got a good idea”!

Pluto does go direct in Capricorn in the afternoon, so there is an authoritative presence paying attention before the potential of chaotic events gets out of hand!
