Cosmic Insights – July 18, 2022

The celestial week of July 18, 2022, begins with the Sun rising up through the warm rays of Cancer, illuminating an opportunity to stop the emotional spin of caretaking to relax and enjoy a few moments more under the covers and allow dreams to complete before rising for a cup to coffee to welcome the day with an attitude of gratitude, before starting off for a work day of activity.  The significance of taking a few moments of self-care is important as the Sun in Cancer has a pressure cooker energy.  If you can imagine taking the sun and dropping it into a pool of water big enough to hold it, the steam that would envelop the earth would be unimaginable.  Thus, the beginning of every summer heats up emotionally, impacting the background and the stage for everything it encounters.

Meanwhile, the Moon is still the star of this energetic dynamic and is finishing up a deep dive into the emotional ocean of Pisces, so those dreams that are occurring upon waking may be foretelling of current or future events.  Before the Moon leaves Pisces, there is a brief window (about 30 minutes) to create an inner visualization of a desired reality which then may trigger new insights of awareness to diversify and apply talents in other directions.

Minutes later, the Moon shifts emotional gears as it rushes into impetuous Aries, to instantly act on those insights!  Fortunately, Mars, the supervisor of Aries is moving slowly through earthly Taurus with a quiet reminder to slow down and pay attention to the feelings motivating the actions, without considering the results of the financial and/or emotional expense of energy without a well thought out plan.  

The first planetary encounter that the Moon in Aries has is a challenging encounter with Venus.  Venus, the generator and governor of relationships, resources, and the ruler of Taurus had just waded into the emotional pond of Cancer and is focused on matters relative to home, family, and children and is not inclined to be supportive of the Moon in Aries taking actions from a self-oriented position.  Thus, some unexpected reactions may occur if impulsive purchases are made without consulting others.  So before you buy that new vehicle because of a need for speed or individual freedom, make sure you will still have a driveway to park it in!

Shortly after sunrise on July 19, Mercury the planetary agent of communication and transportation drives into glorious Leo to share hidden feelings of love for another, or attempt to hide them with an attitude of indifference to salvage one’s pride and dignity.  Yet, denying love for another for the sake of one’s ego comes at a great cost to oneself.  The key to remember is that expressing love does not mean that it will be reciprocated or that anything has to happen.  It is just an opportunity to feel and express something that is universal and that anyone can appreciate.  

The lyrics of the song, What The World Need Now is love, sweet love, sung by Dionne Warwick say it all.  So keep in mind, that the current energy from Venus in Cancer is an opportunity to heal or hurt oneself and others with a kind and loving heart, instead of a need to gain attention or impress others from a place of insecurity.

On the evening of July 19, the Sun in caring Cancer opposes transformational Pluto in ambitious Capricorn, illuminating the cooperation required to balance nurturing emotional energy with the authoritative power to respectfully decline to accept the responsibility to take care of others without considering the personal emotional and financial expense to yourself.  

Shortly after lunch on July 20, the Moon slowly meanders into Taurus with an emotional reminder to take a step back from rushing through meals, work, and life to consider and reflect on the value of what is truly important relative to your valuable time.  Venus, the planetary CEO of Taurus is currently in Cancer and is quite content to be at home with family.  So fast food meals are out for the next couple of days, and so are texting and emailing friends and family to express feelings.  Now is a great time to plan for good home-cooked meals and quality time for personal visits and sharing.  

On the afternoon of July 22, the Sun moves into heart-warming and creative Leo, so the next thirty days offer opportunities to extend oneself with love and gratitude for this precious gift of life!  It is also highly favored for creativity, joyful celebrations, falling in love with life, and rising to the occasion and opportunity to imprint your personal mark on the world and others with love!
