The celestial week of October 27, 2025, begins with the Sun rising in tenacious, powerful Scorpio, illuminating an opportunity to persist in the process of transforming desires that can lead to achieving difficult outcomes. Mars, the daily supervisor of Scorpio, is assisting the process with penetrating insights about the actions necessary to move forward. Mars is supported by Jupiter and Cancer to believe in your power and act on it. While Neptune and Saturn, retrograde in Pisces, also support the actions of Mars by celebrating what you have to actualize the manifestation of concrete ideals.

Whereas Pluto, the transcendental ruler of Scorpio, is positioned in innovative Aquarius with intuitive insights relative to the awareness that freedom is never the result of compromise.  The Sun in Scorpio is also involved in a yod configuration with Uranus retrograde in Gemini, and the Moon in Capricorn, with a message to manage emotional misperceptions with the knowing that one has found their true vocation.

A yod configuration is when three planets are in a geometrical pattern suggestive of fate, and/or the finger of God. Thus, Uranus retrograde in Gemini is handing out attitude adjustments to the Sun in Scorpio and the Moon in Capricorn to continue to work together to follow the path they are currently on, regardless of the opinions of others.

Meanwhile, the Moon is climbing the mountain of success in Capricorn by feeding one’s higher nature with good emotional nourishment through communication.  Saturn, the CEO of Capricorn, is retrograde in Pisces, so it may feel that goals are stuck in a holding pattern about maintaining the vision of a creative project. The key is to hold on with a steady course of faith and no attachment to how the vision is manifested.

Shortly before the day ends on October 28, the Moon ventures into emotionally detached Aquarius with a need for personal space and relationships to spend quality time with friends and like-minded others. The Moon’s first planetary encounters are with Uranus retrograde in Gemini, who is up for mischievous fun and games, while Pluto in Aquarius is invited to transform the good times with abstract, innovative ideas.

While Saturn, the daily CEO of Aquarius, is retrograde in Pisces, leaving no one to take responsibility for manifesting opportunities into reality. At least the light-hearted antics of the Moon, Pluto, and Uranus help to shift the heavy energy of the Sun, Mars, and Mercury in Scorpio.  In the early hours of October 29th, Mercury leaves mysterious Scorpio to explore new adventures in Sagittarius. However, Mercury is in the pre-shadow of the retrograde cycle with a preview of potential chaos unfolding until December 17, regarding financial resources, families, and unpredictable emotional reactions related to food and nourishment.

Just before lunch on October 29, emotional tensions over finances may create challenges with authorities as the Moon in Aquarius squares off with the Sun in Scorpio.  Neither is prepared to give an inch, so conflicts may arise without warning. A few hours later, Mercury in Sagittarius opposes Uranus retrograde in Gemini with a message that emotional detachment can provide illuminating solutions through communication to balance opposing perspectives through negotiation and mediation.

Just before the sun rises on October 31, the Moon drifts into ethereal Pisces with an opportunity to experience emotional healing on a soul level. The characterization of Pisces is spiritual and artistic, and as October 31, is suggestive that the veil between the Earth and the Spirit world is thinner; communication may come through dreams, or a sense of those who have made an earthly transition may be felt. Although emotional exhaustion may contribute to communication challenges throughout the early morning.

The celestial week of October 20th, 2025, begins with the Sun rising in Libra, the airy manager in charge of relating, illuminating an opportunity of the realization that we are not alone, and that there is a spiritual assistance available for guidance and direction.

Venus, the planetary ruler of Libra, is also positioned in Libra,  with an inherent value that truth is in the image of perception and projection, as intuitive visions speaking forth as wisdom. The Sun is positioned at the latest degree of the planets, technically considered void of course, suggesting a time of withdrawing within to seek guidance with no attachment to how the outcomes are accomplished, and yet more of a time of letting go and letting God.

Meanwhile, the Moon is also traveling through Libra, reflecting an emotional, peaceful contemplation of past memories,  when events presupposed adverse concerns, yet worked out for the best, without purposeful interference. As the Moon is in a balsamic lunar phase with the Sun, it echoes the value of the Sun’s purpose to let go of the shadows of emotional worries, and step into the light of the Sun, to absorb the security of its steady course of timeless action, to shine forth even on the darkest of nights.

Although it may become contentious before the day ends, as the Moon is in Libra, you may feel challenged by the ability to balance emotional relationships alongside huge projects of emotional investments. The balancing act may become confrontational minutes after midnight on October 21, as the Moon in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries, with irritating demands for attention if Chiron feels rejected or abandoned. The key is to calmly reject the premise of the projection, with a soothing emotional tone that allows others to realize they are being triggered by internal wounds of abandonment, and to accept the responsibility to heal them, to experience a greater quality of life and relating.

That exchange of relating will become significant for the new moon cycle in Libra, which occurs before the workday begins. The signature of this new moon cycle is indicative of new illuminations about relating, self-values, and financial resources, in the context of relationships with oneself and others. The key to balancing the process of relating is through interpreting and conveying beliefs and ideas in the calm after the storm,  to establish a movement into a new state of emotional equilibrium and relating.

The caveat of new moon cycles is that while it is the time to plant new seeds of intention, which will impact the current time until the next new moon cycle in Libra in 2026.  It is also a time of symbolically planting seeds in the dark, as there is no light from the Moon. This is what happens when a physical seed is planted in the ground and covered with dirt. Thus, it is now helpful to plant those seeds in the field of cosmic consciousness, with purposeful awareness and a form of documentation, so that the harvest will be recognized when it comes forth.

For example, several years ago, I was frustrated with the chore of cutting grass with a barely working lawnmower, in the hot and humid climate of  Tennessee, so I would casually think, “I’m done with this, I’m going to get a goat, and it can take care of the lawn maintenance. Forgetting that it was during a new moon cycle, the realization of the casually forgotten thought seed planted showed up this past week. My son and I were outside in the afternoon, and I heard my son taking a deep breath, so I looked up from what I was doing, and the goat across the street had come into the yard and was rambling toward the front porch, where it took up a temporary residence. While I was somewhat amused as the goat looked into the front storm door, I also invited it to leave and find its highest good elsewhere. As it went off down the street, I heard a voice within that said, “That’s what happens when you think a thought without qualifying the intention of the thought in a new moon cycle.” Lesson reviewed once again.

Later in the morning, on Oct 21, the Moon slips away from the Sun into mysterious Scorpio to investigate what seems to be hidden in friendships associated with hopes, wishes, and dreams. The moon in Scorpio has an internal radar to emotionally detect incongruencies with a laser-like focus that sends it off to gather evidence to validate those feelings without revealing it has found until it serves a purpose.

The Moon’s first planetary encounter occurs with Neptune retrograde in Aries with an attitude adjustment about ignoring boundaries relative to actions, ( followed by a stern rebuke to Uranus in Gemini retrograde for talking out of school about the Moon’s business. Shortly after, it is Pluto’s turn in Aquarius to be challenged by the Moon in Scorpio over rebellious actions fueled by erroneous information.

In the early hours of October 22nd, Neptune retrogrades back into Pisces to finish up the dreams seeded in February 2012, of a momentous spiritual, artistic nature, aided by Saturn retrograde in Pisces to accomplish them. While Jupiter in Cancer contributes emotions to expand them beyond their wildest imagination, and Mars and Mercury in Scorpio activate energetic actions for a soulful transformation until January 26, 2026, when Neptune blazes back into Aries, and the recent solar eclipse at 29 degrees of Virgo also illuminates the work needed to wrap it up until February 17, 2026.

Before the day ends, the Sun slithers into powerful Scorpio, shining a light on family dynamics that subconsciously shaped a transformational purpose in life for better or worse. Scorpio energy has an attitude of take-no-prisoners that can be the enemy within or a complete surrender to the calling of a higher power. Either way, there’s no gray area. Yes or no, stay or go, survival is the goal. Think about the sting of a scorpion crawling on the ground, the phoenix rising from the ashes, and an eagle soaring above it all, and you get the nature of Scorpio.

The first order of business is with Uranus in Gemini retrograde and Pluto in Aquarius, as it draws a hard line in the sand over the boundaries that the Moon in Scorpio issued attitude adjustments about.

On the afternoon of October 23rd, Jupiter, the king of the planets, is currently presiding on the throne of Cancer to square off with Chiron retrograde in Aries to get off the train of anger over self-abandonment and get on with utilizing the lessons learned to take a leap of emotional faith and begin anew.

Before the day ends, the Moon jumps into Sagittarius with unbounded emotional enthusiasm as creative projects are gaining momentum behind the scenes.  However, the Moon’s first planetary interaction is in opposition with Uranus retrograde in Gemini, so there may be some negotiations on the table regarding the best direction to take moving forward. The key is to stand firm on priorities and negotiate on what can be lived with for the opportunity.

On the morning of October 24, the Sun in Scorpio shows its mettle in determined Scorpio as it challenges Pluto, the transformational ruler of Scorpio, currently channeling its power through free-thinking, futuristic Aquarius. While Pluto in Aquarius appreciates the irony of the Sun’s challenge, it has no intention of giving it any notable recognition.

The celestial week of October 13, 2025, begins with the Sun rising in harmonious Libra, illuminating an opportunity to connect with like-minded others and share values about relating and self-worth.  Whereas Venus, the planetary agent of Libra, has arrived at the last degree of Virgo with a reminder to stay true to oneself along the path of life.

Venus is also activating the recent solar eclipse in Virgo; therefore, significant circumstances and events begin to fall into place relative to the seeds of intention planted at that time.  As the solar eclipse is initially a six-month window of energy to work with, things will unfold quickly until February 2026, as Mercury, the fleet-footed messenger in charge of Virgo, makes important connections.  The key is to keep in mind that the current solar eclipse window is a time of cultivating win/win relationships from the past and present, which will anchor the next nineteen years based on the value of communication.

Meanwhile, the Moon is throwing rocks into the emotional pond of Cancer with repetitive cycles of caretaking to support and nourish others who depend on being supported by others.  However, the ripples of the pond suggest an ongoing restlessness to venture out into the world and broaden horizons by sharing beliefs and philosophies with others.

Thus, it may be a time of feeling smothered by the needs of others, instead of the emotional freedom the Moon craves to spread its wings during the disseminating lunar phase it shares with the Sun in Libra.

Shortly after lunch, the Moon in Cancer may rein in any feelings of restriction as it becomes a third-quarter lunar phase in the relationship with the Sun in Libra.  Now, it is time to accept responsibility for nurturing emotional relationships, including the one with oneself.

It will become evident how important self-care is later in the afternoon when Venus dances into relationship-oriented Libra for the next few weeks.  Venus in Libra is charming, politically correct, and determined to get agendas met, as an iron fist in a velvet glove.  The politically correct key to relating now is demonstrating the golden rule of fairness, equality, and the art of giving and receiving with polite kindness and firm boundaries.  As a wise man once stated, the art of diplomacy lies in communicating that someone is welcome to leave, and they look forward to the trip!

As the work day ends, Pluto moves forward in Aquarius with the power to transform hopes, wishes, and dreams into reality as it engages favorably with Venus in Libra, and Uranus retrograde in Gemini.  It is as if the stars have aligned and opened doors of opportunities for expansive growth and visibility!  The key is to seize intuitive insights as guideposts and trust the process with a foundation of faith and no attachment to how outcomes are achieved!

Before the day ends, Venus in Libra opposes Neptune retrograde in Aries, providing a way to get the kite of creative dreams off the ground, with powerful actions integrated with ideals.  The caveat is that the opposition either presupposes a confrontation with others regarding values and ideals or an illuminating process to balance the scales of personal and collective values within oneself, instead of projecting them onto others.

Therefore, today is setting up the remainder of the week to follow through on the power of shifting energy.  Since Columbus Day is celebrated today,  it could also be an opportunity for self-discovery that may lead to new horizons, which can then be explored!

On October 14, the Moon takes center stage in Leo to announce its presence before the Sun rises in Libra!  Thus, emotional dramas may be the backdrop of relating if their majesty is not given due recognition in all of its glory!  However, all is forgiven and forgotten, as the warmth of the Moon in Leo is also heart-centered and connects to others with generosity and grace when gratitude is expressed with a caring demonstration of love.

The Moon in Leo is grateful for the current support and inspiration of Neptune retrograde in Aries, and Venus in Libra behind the scenes as it opposes Pluto in Aquarius in the boardroom.  Pluto cooly ignores the razzle-dazzle efforts that the Moon displays for attention, as Pluto is prepared to take control of events and circumstances that have been on the back burner for the past six months.  Pluto also has the support of Venus in Libra, and Uranus retrograde in Gemini, so cooperation and negotiation can provide solutions to work around differences.

On the afternoon of October 16, the Moon settles down into hard-working Virgo with an eagle eye on the financial budget, and whether the investment of resources is being utilized to sustain career goals.  Mercury is the CEO of Virgo and is currently scrutinizing the bottom line, and will quickly pull the plug on expenditures that don’t demonstrate measurable results.  After an initial assessment, the Moon in Virgo gets down to business, communicating attitude adjustments to Neptune retrograde in Aries to stop talking about taking actions, and get it done!  Pluto in Aquarius is also on the receiving end of an attitude adjustment from the Moon about using the power of technology for present advancement, not just future projects.

In the early hours of October 17, the Sun in Libra squares off with Jupiter in Cancer to take an emotional risk and share feelings about home and family concerns, instead of withdrawing from relationships with emotional distance.  The characterization of Libra and Cancer is action-oriented, so it is an opportunity to communicate feelings in a secure setting with someone who truly cares, even though it may feel uncomfortable at first.

Before the Sun goes down, a potential confrontation arises between the Sun in Libra and Chiron, the wounded healer, retrograde in Aries, as the Sun triggers the wounds of abandonment and rejection that Chiron attempts to hide with passive-aggressive behaviors.  The key is to calmly state perceptions without ambushing one with covert agendas or interventions, or invite one to handle it on their own without projecting opinions or judgments.

Cosmic Insights – October 6, 2025

By Veronica G. Hartman

The celestial week of October 6, 2025, begins with the Sun rising in clever, strategic Libra, illuminating an opportunity to take a break from relationship agendas, financial concerns, and savvy mediations to engage in artistic endeavors to achieve a life balance.  The essence of Libra is similar to a setting sun, suggesting that the workday is over, and it is time to rest, rejuvenate, and restore energy used to accomplish the daily tasks of living.

However, Venus, the CEO of Libra, is residing in hard-working Virgo, who doesn’t stop until the work is finished.  The caveat is that the work is never finished.  Thus, the current message of Venus in Virgo is to recognize the value of equality through the give and take of unity.

Whereas Mercury, the messenger of Virgo, is finishing up a visit in Libra, embracing the value of wisdom transcending knowledge, and looking to the signs for answers.

Meanwhile, the Moon is racing through impulsive Aries to kick-start daily routines into gear with creative imagination and daring actions!  Mars is the manager of Aries and is moving stealthily in covert Scorpio.  As Mars rules both Aries and Scorpio, the assertive warrior, they must come to a consensus of actions to work together, instead of challenging one another about who is in charge!

Aries is quick to initiate action, while Scorpio takes thought-out, calculated actions and will finish what Aries starts!  Thus, a two-step strategy will usually work during the next couple of days, if the Moon in Aries takes the lead with actions based on feelings, while Mars in Scorpio enforces the boundaries with powerful actions.

Just before October 6, Mercury, the planetary messenger, slips out of charming, diplomatic Libra into secretive, powerful Scorpio to investigate every connection during the next three weeks under a laser-focused microscope for authenticity, transparency, and even brutal honesty.  With that awareness, shooting straight from the hip to the lip will earn the respect and trust of others, even if they don’t agree or like what is being communicated.  The caveat is that betrayal of confidences is the cardinal sin for Scorpios, so once trust is lost, it is gone, with no going back.

On the midmorning of October 7, Mercury in Scorpio is tempted to test its power of communication in a challenging standoff with powerful Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, to see who will flinch first in this potential conflict about control.  The irony is that the daily ruler of Scorpio is Mars, while Pluto is the transformation ruler of powerful Scorpio.  However, Pluto is currently retrograde, so it may appear to take a step back to test whether Mercury in Scorpio really has the power it portrays.  Thus, a test of wills occurs relative to power and control.

Minutes after midnight on October 8, the Moon quietly moves into gentle and emotionally calm Taurus, offering solace to the emotional soul with quality food, physical comfort, and the enjoyment of nature in simple and loving kindness.  There will also likely be challenges relative to home, family, and career.  Yet, if tempered with patience, caring, and consideration for all concerned, conflicts can become opportunities.

On October 10, once again, the Moon changes signs under the cover of darkness shortly after midnight, as it breezes into chatty and curious Gemini!  Now that the emotional batteries have been recharged, the energy amps up in an electric frenzy to kick-start the weekend, as the Moon interacts favorably with Uranus retrograde in Gemini, Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, and Neptune retrograde in Aries, in a no-holds-barred opportunity to experience the fruition of hopes, wishes, and dreams come to pass!  At least, until the sun goes down!
