Cosmic Insights – June 27, 2022

The celestial week of June 27, 2022, begins with the Sun rising in watery, sensitive Cancer illuminating an opportunity to create a foundation of emotional caring, comfort, and security by sharing similar thoughts with like-minder others, leading to new understandings, ideas, and concepts.

Meanwhile, the Moon is breezing through chatty, curious Gemini entertaining ideas that may trigger emotional feelings as epiphanies which then filter through Mercury, the planetary conduit of communication and connections, and is also traveling through quick-thinking Gemini with an opportunity to go from reacting with the lower emotional nature to thinking with the higher mind.  

As the Sun moves through Cancer through July 22, emotions will shift about every two and a half days as the Moon changes astrological constellations.  Therefore, it would be useful to take a step back when an emotional reaction begins to drive behavior, and contemplate what other options are available instead of instinctively reacting?  Then the conscious process of thinking about feelings, instead of reacting to them has the potential to change the circumstances favorably.

In the early hours of June 28, the emotional volume is turned up as the Moon slips into protective Cancer, offering an opportunity to let go of any negative feelings that may unconsciously create emotional insecurity.  Think of Cancer energy as an emotional barometer that is always measuring a state of security/insecurity in the background or at the unconscious level, and then filters up as feelings of happiness, sadness, anger, peace, etc. which are physically felt in the body as anticipation, eagerness, depression, an adrenaline rush, hopelessness, or a lack of motivation.  Now, depending on what is being felt physically, therein lies the solution or information to consciously release negative emotions or proceed with positive ones.  

Later in the evening, challenges may arrive in the context of relating, as the Sun in Cancer maybe become emotionally defensive about Jupiter in Aries taking actions without the consideration of mutual discussions, which may ignite a demonstration of emotional fireworks set off by knee-jerk reactions!  In reality, it probably isn’t meant to be personal, it’s just that the cosmic weather is currently symbolizing a pressure cooker environment and it doesn’t take much to set things in motion!

Before the end of the day, a new moon cycle in Cancer occurs with an opportunity to create a new habit in regard to the ability to unconsciously react or consciously respond to emotional triggers relative to security, family, home, nurturing, and children.  As the new moon in Cancer is a first-quarter solar/lunar square to Jupiter in Aries, those triggers may be tested as to where you are currently operating from regarding the purpose of emotions.  Do you consciously use them as feedback about changes you can make to experience a greater quality of life, or as an excuse to stay stuck in what is familiar, yet uncomfortable? 

Regardless of how you use feelings, now is an opportunity to use emotions to fulfill your purpose in life, which could be why Jupiter in Aries may be motivating you to take a leap of faith even if it feels uncomfortable.  Cancer energy can be very childlike, so it is easy now to want others to take care of you, but along with that care comes the potential and the likelihood of being controlled by others.  Thus, personal freedom comes with a price, and it is called being responsible for yourself.

On the evening of June 30, the Moon blazes into heart-warming or egotistic Leo with an emotional opportunity to shine from a golden heart of love within or freeze others out with an arrogant attitude of superiority.  One will be as inviting as a warm, cozy fire while the other will leave one feeling unloved and left out.  So the next couple of days is an opportunity to choose which one feels best as the Moon in Leo is governed by the Sun in Cancer reflecting that no one really cares what your status is, what you own, or what you think, as much as they care about the way you make them feel, which is returned back to you tenfold!
